Today, we’re exploring the penguins dataset from the palmerpenguins package, which contains measurements on 344 Adelie, Chinstrap, and Gentoo penguins.
The data were collected and made available by Dr. Kristen Gorman and the Palmer Station, Antarctica LTER, a member of the Long Term Ecological Research Network.
It turns out that bill length is closely related to bill depth for all three species
Which …. isn’t surprising.
Gentoo penguins tend to be the largest penguins in terms of body mass and flipper length, but have the smallest bill depth.
And this trend is true for both male and female penguins.
